Cedar Furniture Care & Maintenance

Our treatment product is an environmentally friendly penetrating sealer, which provides water resistance and UV protection. Our treatment product will not crack or peal like varnish, it will however fade away over time and your cedar product will eventually turn the familiar cedar grey. If you would prefer to keep your product looking fresh, we recommend the following steps when required.

1. Wash the product with soap and water to remove any dirt and marks such as pop can rings etc.
2. When the product is dry, lightly sand the entire surface with 80 grit sandpaper.
3. Vacuum or use a tack rag to remove the dust.
4. Apply the stain or sealer liberally but not to the point of run-off. We recommend a good quality polyester sash brush for the application.
